Dear Greyhound Families,
It is my privilege to welcome you to the Sweet Springs R-VII 2024-2025 school year!  My name is Melanie Davis and I am honored to serve as Sweet Springs R-VII Elementary Principal.  I have been part of the Sweet Springs Greyhound family since August of 2012, and look forward to continuing our journey together.  On behalf of our faculty and staff, we welcome each of you to Sweet Springs Elementary School where we prioritize maintaining a safe and positive learning environment for all students. We believe all students can reach their fullest potential academically, behaviorally, emotionally, and socially as supported by our new building motto, Greyhounds Reaching Individual Targets also known as Greyhound G.R.I.T.! We understand the importance of partnerships in education to help our students achieve and are committed to partnering with our parents and community throughout the year. Communication is key!  We encourage you to support your child in their educational journey by communicating the importance of responsibility, motivation, and expectations.  Our schoolwide behavior expectations focus on supporting students in being Safe, Respectful, and Responsible.
